The Salt Lake Division of the Denver & Rio Grande Western is a HO model railroad in a 25' x 70' basement room in Bloomington, Indiana. The railroad follows the Rio Grande from Grand Junction Colorado, to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1953. The mainline is 300 feet of handlaid trackwork and the benchwork is studwall. The trackplan is a sincere linear design with open staging and features a dual helper grades. The control system is Easy DCC with Radio Control Throttles and Soundtraxx and Digitrax decoders. The queen of the fleet is a brass 12 car California Zepher set with 3 Life-Like sound equipped PAs on the point. Make the short drive to Utah and enjoy mountain railroading like it use to be.
